The Dying Moon is a modern epistolary novel with e-mails and is narrated by many characters who are both protagonists and antagonists. The story is set around 2000 in different locations: Fairfield, Paris, and Massa. The events take place in the fall and winter; however, the characters always mention spring and summerit is a book about the seasons and how the seasons shape our personalities.
